We visited Croydon Mosque, where we spoke with committee member Waqas Khan and attended the khutbah, during which Imam Inam-ul-Haq explained the story behind the obligation of fasting in Islam. He also highlighted the virtues of optional fasting, such as fasting on the day of Ashura, and discussed the significance of the month of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar.
