Staff Sergeant Marshal Ivy and Staff Sergeant Kristen Domke also shone, with Ivy winning gold in the 200-meter dash after a traumatic brain injury and Domke pushing through invisible wounds to finish the 800-meter in a track chair. The trials, held at Camp Pendleton, featured new challenges and served as a stepping stone for the Warrior Games in San Antonio and the Invictus Games, while the Wounded Warrior program provided ongoing support for recovery and transition to independent lives.
