Show Notes
Californias six largest metro areas face severe home affordability challenges, with only 12% of homes priced under $415,600. This is a slight improvement from 8% last year, but still far below the national average of 38%. Los Angeles-Orange County has the lowest affordability rate at 6%, followed by San Diego at 11%, Inland Empire at 16%, Sacramento and San Jose at 17-18%, and San Francisco at 22%. These areas account for just 1% of the nations affordable listings, contributing to the feeling of being priced out among buyers.
