The Software Marketplace Has A Problem, Lets Talk About It

I have a concern that the marketplace for modern software is over capacity, that is user's daily active time is already at a dysfunctional high. That means your application must be built with unrealistic goals. Most modern developers must complete with “Big Tech” and their resources, making it nearly impossible for independent developers to produce a compelling product, but also act completely in their user's best interests in regards to their privacy, security, and overall support. If an application desires the largest user base, it's probably going to make some compromises. I believe every person and corporation is incentive based and I pine for a cautious development in the modern software marketplace. As I mentioned at the start, I only plan to sprinkle this type of opinion discussion when I have something on my mind that I feel needs some attention. I thank you for listening, and if you have any feedback we'd love to hear it. Pilot - How We Can Become More Private And Secure Together

trailer

If you feel that technology, governments and corporations are working around the clock to sell your personal information and use it against you, you came to the right place. We are here to help (and us) better understand the technology around us.DescriptionThis is a pilot episode for the release of IO Bound, a podcast where Vaughn Nugent (me) and Dustin Hogate discuss their experiences with modern technology, and share them with you. My goal is to reach people like myself. Curious of how all forms of technology work but just don't quite know how to get to the details of how. When learning something new, I always found the barriers to entry, not only annoying, but purpose built to keep the average enthusiast out. It's not lost on me why these barriers often need to exist, however I find they often present unnecessary struggle for people who offer no risk to the established science, but are simply curious. If you feel the same way, I hope to assist you on this journey the best I can, and inspire you to learn something you are passionate about while being aware of the tools you use to get there. It's not a secret that modern technology companies view you and me as breathing wallets, and when every thought we generate, and movement we make can be predicted, it can be sold. We want to make sure not only that you are aware of this fact to the point of fatigue, but are making conscious steps to protecting yourself and your family.Contact & SocialsFor our contact & socials please go to my website:     www.vaughnnugent.com npub1qdjn8j4gwgmkj3k5un775nq6q3q7mguv5tvajstmkdsqdja2havq03fqm7For a central location to view these episodes you can also visit my website     www.vaughnnugent.com/podcastThis podcast is published by me, using my free and open source content management software called CMNext.     CMNext GitHub
