October inflation surprised on the downside in just over half of the major countries that have reported numbers so far. There was no number for the US, due to the government shutdown, but, says Chris Holdsworth, Chief Investment Strategist, Investec Wealth & Investment International, other indicators point to a rate of around 3%, with some upside risk.
