President Trump has called for a boycott of Bruce Springsteen’s “Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour.” Trump jumping on social media twice in a matter of hours to publicly insult Springsteen, calling him a bad, boring singer who is dried up like a prune. An anesthesiologist on trial for attempted murder took the stand in his own defense Thursday. 40-year-old Stephen Brown was denied bail today after police say he killed his wife and fled the scene. 38-year-old Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen was found dead in her home after a friend asked police for a wellness check. 27-year-old Dayton Webber had his first court appearance after police say he shot and killed his friend and passenger while driving. A landmark case is being heard at the Supreme Court today and President Trump is making history in the process by attending.  Trump is the first sitting President to ever hear oral arguments at the Supreme Court.  Tje justices are listening to arguments on limiting birthright citizenship.  This all boils down to the justices interpretation of our 14th amendment, which up until now has guaranteed citizenship to most babies born in this country, regardless of their parents’ legal status.  The Trump administration is trying to change that.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The excitement begins this morning as massive preparations are underway for four Astronauts to blast off this evening from Kennedy Space Center.  Artemis II will loop around the Earth and Moon on a 10 day mission that will take astronauts deeper into space than any human has been before.  It’s been more than 50 years since astronauts have launched toward the moon and there are several firsts on the mission.  This will be the first time a black and a female astronaut travel around the moon and the first time this spacecraft has taken humans into space.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The first female in more than 200 years set to be executed in the state of Tennessee, is fighting to stay alive. 50-year-old Christa Gail Pike is scheduled to die by lethal injection Sept 30th of this year. Her attorneys have filed a lawsuit to try and stop the execution, saying it violates both her constitutional rights and religious beliefs.
