Show Notes

How can instructional coaches support teachers who are burned out and not excited about teaching anymore? I’ve been getting this question a lot, especially in the last few years! To provide some answers, I invited an expert on teacher burnout to help guide us!

In this episode, Amber Harper from Burned-In Teacher joins me to discuss strategies for supporting burned out teachers. We explore the three types of teacher burnout: burned and over it, burned and unbalanced, and burned and bored. She explains some causes of burnout and warning signs we can look for when working with teachers. Amber tells us the best and worst things coaches can do when supporting burned out teachers. Plus, learn how to address different types of burnout.

A lot of teachers are overwhelmed and dealing with burnout. As instructional coaches, there are things we can do to help. Listen to this episode to learn more about supporting burned out teachers!
