On November 4, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI, seeking to end the 500-year schism with the Church of England, signed the Apostolic Constitution Anglicanorum Coetibus. With this declaration, Pope Benedict XVI boldly opened the doors of the Church to all Anglicans who seek full and visible communion with the Catholic Church.
