Show Notes

Have you ever wondered what cones do when you are not looking at them? Susan talks in this episode to Chris Madeley, author of The Cones series of children's books. These books are full of stories about the cones, their adventures, and stories to help children to see the world in a better way.

About the Guest:

Chris Madeley was born and brought up in the Old Vicarage in Darton, near Barnsley. Until Chris was 18 the family had no television, so she was well used to making her own entertainment. Gifted with a fertile imagination she immersed herself in the world of make-believe and fantasy and enjoyed writing from an early age.

Inspiration for the books came when travelling miles along the M1 motorway surrounded by road works and miles of Cones! Thus, the ‘conecept' of Cones coming alive and having adventures was born. There are eleven titles in the english language series and these have also been published in Chinese, French, Italian, Japanese and Portuguese.
