In 2004, Texas executed Cameron Todd Willingham, a poor, uneducated heavy metal devotee, for killing his three daughters in an arson fire. As numerous investigations and news articles have uncovered, he likely didn’t commit the crime. Academy Award-winning director Ed Zwick joins Nick to talk about his new film, Trial by Fire, and explain how broken death row is, after over a hundred people have been exonerated post-death for crimes they didn’t commit.
