In this week’s episode of “Mizzou Storytellers,” Loretta Jones and Dave Matter are joined by soon-to-be Mizzou Hall of Famers Susan and Wayne Kreklow, the longtime Mizzou volleyball coaching tandem, who on Friday will be inducted into the University of Missouri Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame. The Kreklows share the story of how the sport brought them together, first at Columbia College then across town at Mizzou, where for two decades the husband and wife tag team built one of the most consistently successful programs in Mizzou history. Did you know Wayne was drafted by the Boston Celtics? Do you know how they tapped into the international market for volleyball talent? The only Mizzou coaches to capture an SEC championship are still figuring out retirement but have plenty of stories to share from all their years together.
