Show Notes
In this episode, AAFP Vice President of Government Relations David Tully talks with Natalie Williams, the Academy's senior manager of legislative affairs, about what Congress' newly passed spending package means for family physician practices. Their conversation was recorded just ahead of final voting on the $1.2 trillion spending bill, putting it into context with budget provisions passed earlier in March. This episode outlines the AAFP's wins in the spending package, how the Academy worked to secure these wins and what's next for the Academy's congressional advocacy this year.
In the second half of the podcast, Kate Freeman, Market Transformation Manager for the AAFP's Practice Advancement Division, offers an overview of new tools to help AAFP members best use Medicare's G2211 add-on code.
