Show Notes
Episode 160 of the InGoal Radio Podcast, presented by The Hockey Shop Source for Sports, features a fascinating conversation with Olympic goalie Paris O'Brien.
In that feature interview, presented by Sense Arena, O'Brien walks us through his incredible journey to representing China as the hosts of the 2022 Beijing Olympics, including the chance to play against his home country, Canada. It's an amazing journey that started with being asked to fill in at skate was short on goalies, skipping school to do so (he was in Grade 11 at the time), meeting Mike Keenan, and ending up in Latvia for the following season. O'Brien shares insights from each stop of a five-year adventure from there to the KHL and Olympics, including lessons from his goalie coaches at home and from Finland, and a glimpse into his Chinese roots, and how special this opportunity was for him and his family.
All that, plus a trip to The Hockey Shop Source for Sports to look at the new Vaughn SLR3 chest protector, with several new features that had Woody trying to do TikTok dances.
