Despite ignored emails and pleas for meetings, locals packed a town hall to push for its survival. The YMCA has been a vital community resource, offering swim lessons, first jobs, mentorship, and food assistance. While alternatives are being explored, such as a local church taking over the mentorship program and the YMCA linking with Warren Township schools, a new committee is forming to repurpose the building as an open hub for all ages.
