Show Notes

Indiana schools may soon enforce a state bill, Senate Bill seventy-eight, that prohibits students from using personal devices during the entire school day. This includes cell phones, smart watches, and other wireless gadgets. The bill allows for medical devices and gives districts the flexibility to set their own rules. Warren Township is considering implementing this change next year to reduce distractions and improve focus. The bill becomes law automatically if Governor Mike Braun does not sign or veto it by March ninth. Schools then have until July first to share their policies with parents.
