Show Notes

Join us as we bid farewell to Westfields oldest building, the Green Building, set to move on March fifth. This historic structure, built in 1837, has stood at 102 South Union Street for nearly two centuries. Its being relocated to a spot west of City Hall to make way for a multi-year project to widen and rebuild State Road 32. The building, which once housed a drug store, post office, grocery, and cafeteria, will be restored to its original clapboard look. The move will close the Union Street and State Road 32 intersection from 4 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March fifth, with no parking allowed nearby on Union Street starting March fourth. Watch the move safely from Hadley Park on the northwest corner.
