Also HomePod Software 16 will be available to public beta users for the first time there are some new features in iOS 16 that I was pleasantly surprised to find. When you type a temperature in Celsius it will automatically bring up a conversion to fahrenheit and kelvin. This was in the messages app it should apply to other apps. Same applies to time zones type in a time with a time zone in messages it will give you the local time for the recipient. We talk about more WWDC 22 announcements and items that were not reviewed during the event and other topics this week. Stage Manager controversy won't go away: A lot of people with slightly older, non-M1 iPad are NOT happy that Stage Manager is limited to M1 iPads. Apple claims that older models (non M1 iPads) won't be able to offer the "Full Experience" for a variety of reasons like faster internal storage and more RAM. Some fire back," then make it less capable for older iPads" which is not something Apple is likely to do. With this we are starting to see cracks in the Intel/M-Series Processor divide with some features now pretty much M-series only, leaving still quite capable Macs in the rear view mirror. Live Captions in FaceTime, Sidecar with Reference mode only for M-series Macs and M1 iPads, and Emoji Support in Dictation Mode Stage Manager controversy won't go away, and Apple can still fix it iPadOS 16 code confirms Apple has internal mode to enable Stage Manager on older iPads The European Union will be mandating that all devices must have USB-C as their connector. Happy to report that Camo now with version 1.6.6 fixes some bugs but best of all it doesn't crash on iOS 16 anymore. Settings > Control Center and add Text size. To set the text size in each app individually or all apps, open an app like Notes and goto the Control Center open Text Size and you can set the size to the individual app. Copy Links from a Tab Group in Safari and paste in Notes and other documents. Open the Tabs groups tap Edit on top left. Tap the ellipse next to the group you want to send and select copy. You can then paste it in an email, document, or wherever you want to send this to. I find notes is a good place to create that list of linked tabs. Text Selection Magnifier This feature was removed in iOS14 and now its back. Tap anywhere that text appears in emails, messages, notes, to move your cursor. The magnifier pops up with the cursor to see the text and assists you in placing the cursor in position. Find Your Turned Off iPhone In the Settings app, tap your ‌Apple ID‌ banner at the top, then select Find My. Make sure the switches next to Find My iPhone and Find My network are turned on. That way, you'll be able to find your ‌iPhone‌ in the Find My app under the Devices tab, even if your ‌iPhone‌ has run out of battery or is turned off.
