War And Wisdom
Operation: Epic Fury is underway and dominating the news. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we helped you understand this latest conflict from a biblical perspective. Our guests, including Tom Doyle, Hormoz Shariat, Lana Silk and Al Fadi, helped us better understand Iran, its people and what is driving the radical Islamic beliefs that have crippled the nation for decades. Our guests explained why the Iranian people around the world are celebrating this military action and why it is creating an open door for the spread of the gospel. Dr. Arnie Cole, the CEO of Back to the Bible shared the results of a study that shows increased bible sales is not adding up to transformed lives and what believers need to do about it. Dr. Mitch Glaser of Chosen People Ministries explained a new survey that shows strong support from evangelicals for the people of Israel, despite what we are hearing in the popular media. Shawn Wicks joined Janet to give answers to false assumptions about the bible that is creating confusion for people who say that this ancient document just can’t stand up to scrutiny and life in our modern world. The need to see the world through a biblical perspective is never more apparent than in times like these where decisive military action is reshaping the lands of biblical history. We encourage you to join us once again as we examine the historic events of this week through the lens of scripture.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Is It Really The Good Book?
Ministry veteran Shawn Wicks has met a lot of people who are troubled by the Bible. Whether it is apparent contradictions in Scripture or the violence depicted in the Old Testament, Scripture presents itself as an obstacle to faith. Many former Christians consistently report that the number one reason they no longer identify as Christians is the Bible itself. Join us as Shawn responds to the most common misunderstandings of what the Bible is, along with the inaccurate and harmful assumptions that distort what it teaches.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The IF That Changes Everything
There are some things which, if they are true, change everything. If Jesus rose from the dead, it would transform what we think of God and how we see ourselves. We could make sense of some of the deepest mysteries of our existence and enjoy real hope in our everyday lives. But can a rational person actually believe that Jesus rose from the dead? Middle East Conflict Through Biblical Lens
As the war in the Middle East continues, we visit with 2 people today who are viewing the news through the lens of Scripture. We will visit with Lana Silk, CEO of Transform Iran, who was born in Iran on the day of the Islamic Revolution and later fled with her family due to persecution. Lana’s family formed Transform Iran as a ministry to the Iranian diaspora, which has now grown to include a dynamic ministry to an extensive network of underground churches inside Iran. Then Al Fadi will join us to explain the “theology” of the Iranian regime and why we need to understand Islam as both a religion and a political system. Best of In The Market with Janet Parshall: What God Did With Our Sin
Every Christian has experienced days or even seasons of feeling extreme guilt over past or present sins, thinking that God is angry or disgusted with them—sometimes even wondering if they’re truly saved. This often happens when believers fixate on their sins while forgetting what Christ has already done on their behalf at the cross. Our History of Hope
The story of the American Revolution has been told through every form of media, but what is never spoken of was the foundation of faith that underpinned everything that happed during those transformative times. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we looked back at the founding of our nation and how God’s hand directed the men who fought and died to establish this nation and it’s God-given freedoms as a model for the rest of the world. The Wizard of Oz is a childhood classic film and the images from this beloved film are ingrained in our collective memories. But our guest took us behind the scenes of an experience he had as the Lord showed him hidden truths and spiritual lessons that can be applied to all our lives through this beloved children’s film. The enemy is always seeking to tempt, distract and mislead God’s people but our guest, a respected pastor and teacher says that we don’t have to give in to his deceptions. Our guest gave us a clear understanding of the enemy’s tactics and what we can do to avoid falling into those temptations. Women take on so many challenges and roles throughout their lives and the exhaustion from carrying so many burdens is overwhelming. But women who walk with Christ have a fount of rest and restoration through Him that others do not. Our guest shared some wonderfully encouraging “refreshments” from God’s word that believing wives, mothers and grandmothers can take to their hearts and live with confidence and grace and give the same to others as well. Nobody is excluded from the power of media’s influence in their lives these days. From social media, tv news and internet articles we are bombarded with ideas and beliefs that can easily confuse and mislead us into wrong thinking. But we have the unflinching truth of God’s word to measure those ideas against. Our Foundation of Faith
In celebration of Presidents Day, we shared the unspoken history of Abraham Linocoln. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we our guest explained how Lincoln’s faith was pivotal to shaping him into the man he became and how it guided and sustained him during one of our nation’s most violet and critical times in history. What is required to be a Christian dissident? Our guest warned us that as we see a growing acceptance of socialist and Marxist views in our nation, believers need to be prepared to stand up and fight for their guaranteed freedoms that the Founders fought to provide and preserve as part of our national heritage. Every day we are reminded that the cost of liberty is high. Part of our liberty as Americans is our right to free speech but the days of sitting back and trusting that those rights were above question or attempts to curtail are far behind us now. That is why Janet and Craig took a deep dive into a recent House Judiciary Committee hearing that addressed challenges to our right to free speech. They shared their analysis of what the lawmakers had to say about efforts to bring European style censorship to this country and why do so would be devastating to our national identity and why we must not allow the slow creep of these ideas to take away this fundamental right as Europe and other countries have, to devastating effect. We opened our phones and you flooded them once again with your questions on spiritual warfare as one of our favorite guests and highly respected expert in this area turned our hearts and minds back to God’s truth as we wrestle with the many issues surrounding the impact of the supernatural world on ours. The week is coming to an end, but our need to see and clearly understand the ideas that are being pushed on us through the media never does. That is why Janet and Craig continue to encourage you to be wise watchmen and women on the walls to protect your families by measuring those confusing and misleading ideas against the truth of God’s word.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Where Do We Stand?
It is in the dusts of antiquity that we continue to recover the historical proof of the people and events in scripture. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we spoke to an archaeologist explained how he grew his love for this science and the amazing discoveries that substantiate the life and kingdom of David, papyrus that proves the existence of giants in Israel and much more. We had another visit with one of our favorite evangelists who explained why billboards that promote direct heresy against the identity of Jesus are popping up around the country. He took us back to the scriptures to demonstrate that their claims and those who put them up are dangerously misleading and why God’s people must be grounded in His truth in order to speak against these logical sounding but biblically wrong claims. How do you rekindle your faith when the flame grows dim? Our guest shared biblical insights mixed with his own personal experiences to teach us 6 essential steps to reigniting the flame of faith and restoring your joy in the Lord. In these times of greater challenges to those who are standing for their faith against the tide of society, we wanted to encourage you with stories of those who also stood up for God in the early days of the church. Our guest shared the powerful and often surprising stories of those who faithfully spread the message of the gospel around the world despite what seemed to be insurmountable odds against them. In Whom Do We Trust?
It seems that even during a celebratory sporting event, the evil of antisemitism is still able to raise its ugly head once again. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we spoke to a highly respected expert on the challenges that have and continue to face the Jewish people in America and abroad. He addressed the antisemitic ad that aired during the Superbowl as well as the most recent comments by a famous media personality attempting to pit Christians against their Jewish brothers and sisters. What if there is more to speaking the right love language than you thought? We went right to source, the creator of the 5 love languages to find out why communicating in the right dialect for your loved one is essential to getting your message across. He said that without speaking that right dialect your love message can easily get lost in translation. He also explained what the personality colors of conversation are and how to keep our own love tank full. It is a common belief that the emotional attachments we create when we are young influence the relationships that we create later in life. Our guest says those same attachments also impact our most important relationship, the one with God. She helped us understand how this works in order to deepen our bond with the One who loves us most. Cuba is facing a economic crisis, Iran remains in turmoil and across the globe the persecuted church continues to suffer for the cause of the cross. We spoke to three of God’s faithful soldiers as they shared their stories of God at work and how we can continue to support them through prayer. The ground beneath our feet never seems to settle these days. From antisemitic hate speech, to attack on religious liberty and the basic freedoms our nation was built on, there are a lot of people saying and doing a lot of things. We have to be able to discern the truth from the lies and deceptions. That is why we once again invite you to join us for another demonstration of how to use the truth of the Bible as a measuring stick against the crooked confusion we are hearing in our media every day.
