We're talking about a lot of desserts in 2022, and this week is no exception. Today, Mary Mac gives a recipe for red velvet cake that uses Firehouse Red Ale from North Country Brewing (northcountrybrewing.com). We got a little sidetracked with red velvet history and baking terms, but this Firehouse Red Velvet Cake is amazing! Not only is it moist and delicious, the frosting is a buttercream made with Baileys Irish Cream. Make it for someone special or as a special treat for yourself!
