One of the reasons I don't make promises to my kids is that I know eventually I will break one of my promises. Try as I might, at some point I will be late picking them up or will forget to get their favorite cereal at the store. As Pastor JD shares in today's message, it's the Lord who made a covenant with us. If we were the ones making the promise to the Lord, we'd eventually break it.
