In this week's episode, Desiree speaks with Tem on Nomadic Venture Partners’ investment thesis, the importance of the mining industry in the global economy and the world's decarbonization journey, geopolitical complexities with China and the Democratic Republic of Congo, risk and liability, ethics, decarbonization and innovation opportunities along the mining value chain, permitting reform, and advice for entrepreneurs working in the mining industry. 

Tem Tumurbat is currently the Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Nomadic Venture Partners, a climate tech firm accelerating decarbonization by investing in innovation across the mining value chain, as well as manufacturing, and transportation. Currently, NVP invests catalytic capital in pre-seed, seed, and Series A companies. Prior to NVP, he was an investment professional at Resource Capital Funds, a private equity firm focused on mining investments and a mining engineer at a variety of mining corporations. He received his Bachelor’s in Mining Engineering at the Colorado School of the Mines.
