Thanks to iFanboy patrons, it’s Talksplode time. When we read Prez, we were impressed, and when, shockingly, The Flintstones series was discovered to be one of the best and smartest new comics from DC, we had to find out who this Mark Russell was. So we asked him. Working with cartoonist Shannon Wheeler, Russell released God Is Disappointed in You, and Apochrypha Now from Top Shelf, as well as various other freelance writing, he then found himself with an opportunity to write Prez for DC Comics. We talk with him about that, and bringing that same sensibility to the licensed property of The Flintstones.
