It is really unfortunate what is going on in St. Louis currently with the Blues and Avalanche series. On Saturday night the Avs Nazem Kadri collided with Blues goalie Jordan Binnington. Binnington hurt his knee and is out for the rest of the series. No penalty was called, and the league reviewed the play and determined no suspension, or fine was warranted. Kadri has a reputation as a dirty player and has been suspended in the past for dirty hits. Kadri is a founding member of the Hockey Diversity Alliance. an organization of current and former players seeking to eradicate racism from the game. Since the incident Kadri has received many threats and racist attacks. Kadri is a Muslim of Lebanese decent. It has been so bad the St Louis Police department has stationed officers in front of the team hotel.
