Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery: Go and Sin No More by Zeres Vitto

Lyrics:

Earth’s Constitution was given at creation,

And written in the heart by the Spirit of God,

On Mount Sinai in Arabia, it was ratified,

Etched by God’s finger on tablets of stones.

The seventh forbids committing adultery,

It’s sexual relations outside of matrimony,

It’s acts of impurity, sensual thoughts, and desires,

It’s devotion to idols in worship and service.

With carefulness and prayer, walk before God,

Break free from sin, resist all temptations,

As the woman freed from the Jews’ condemnation,

Heed the Redeemer, “Go and sin no more.”

God’s statutes and judgments found in His Word,

Make a wall of protection – noble, pure, and just,

They teach us to love, fear, and obey,

And make us understand, Christ our sin-bearer.

With carefulness and prayer, walk before God,

Break free from sin, resist all temptations,

As the woman freed from the Jews’ condemnation,

Heed the Redeemer, “Go and sin no more.”
