The Husker247 Podcast started on a somber note on Tuesday as the the group remembered Mike Leach for his unique blend of personality and air raid football. The long time college football coach faced Nebraska six times in his career and appeared on the radio despite never coaching in Lincoln.
Following the look back on Leach’s legacy the podcast shifts to conversations about Nebraska’s recruiting efforts, its latest commitments and the big visit weekend that featured a number of commits and targets all in Lincoln at the same time.
Everything gets wrapped up with a little basketball talk following a tough 0-2 start in Big Ten play but a game against Purdue that went into overtime and showcased the energy in Pinnacle Bank Arena that’s largely been absent throughout Fred Hoiberg’s tenure as the head coach.
