More young women are choosing career, freedom and independence over starting a family, and when or if they choose to get married, many are choosing to remain childless or have children at a later age. Yet a portion among them still feel guilty about their decision and at some point feel the need to conform to social norms, especially in Singapore, where women are still often highly judged by how they perform as a mother or wife despite their career success.
