President Trump has called for a boycott of Bruce Springsteen’s “Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour.” Trump jumping on social media twice in a matter of hours to publicly insult Springsteen, calling him a bad, boring singer who is dried up like a prune. An anesthesiologist on trial for attempted murder took the stand in his own defense Thursday. Dr.  Gerhardt Konig is accused of trying to push his wife off a cliff and then repeatedly hitting her head with a rock until bystanders intervened.  Both Konig’s wife and son testified against him at trial, but Thursday jurors got to hear Konig’s side of the story.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

40-year-old Stephen Brown was denied bail today after police say he killed his wife and fled the scene. 38-year-old Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen was found dead in her home after a friend asked police for a wellness check. Bowen was a beloved politician who was reportedly about to announce a run for higher office. 27-year-old Dayton Webber had his first court appearance after police say he shot and killed his friend and passenger while driving. Fans have been anxiously awaiting word from the Grammy winner after she was rushed to the hospital in the middle of starring in Broadway’s “Moulin Rouge! The Musical”. A landmark case is being heard at the Supreme Court today and President Trump is making history in the process by attending.  Trump is the first sitting President to ever hear oral arguments at the Supreme Court.  Tje justices are listening to arguments on limiting birthright citizenship.  This all boils down to the justices interpretation of our 14th amendment, which up until now has guaranteed citizenship to most babies born in this country, regardless of their parents’ legal status.  The Trump administration is trying to change that.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The excitement begins this morning as massive preparations are underway for four Astronauts to blast off this evening from Kennedy Space Center.  Artemis II will loop around the Earth and Moon on a 10 day mission that will take astronauts deeper into space than any human has been before.  It’s been more than 50 years since astronauts have launched toward the moon and there are several firsts on the mission.  This will be the first time a black and a female astronaut travel around the moon and the first time this spacecraft has taken humans into space.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The first female in more than 200 years set to be executed in the state of Tennessee, is fighting to stay alive. 50-year-old Christa Gail Pike is scheduled to die by lethal injection Sept 30th of this year. Her attorneys have filed a lawsuit to try and stop the execution, saying it violates both her constitutional rights and religious beliefs. 6 out of 7 Florida State Supreme Court Justices ruled against the prosecution’s request that James Duckett be executed tonight at 6 pm for the 1987 rape and murder of an 11-year-old girl. The ruling came after DNA testing requested by the defense was inconclusive, prompting the state to ask for the court to move forward with Duckett’s planned execution. The clock is ticking in Florida after the state Supreme Court voted to pause the execution of former police officer, James Aren Duckett. Duckett was convicted of raping and murdering an 11-year-girl back in 1987. Houston police say they have finally solved a 36-year-old murder mystery, after a tip and DNA evidence led them to the man they say is the killer responsible for the “Lover’s Lane Murders.” 64-year-old Floyd Willis Parrott is charged with murder for viciously killing 22-year-old Cheryl Henry and 21-year-old Andy Atkinson back in 1990. The two young lovers were parked in a secluded area when police say Parrott tied them up and slit their throats. It took the pressure of an Easter vacation to get lawmakers to finally fund DHS and get long overdue paychecks to TSA workers.  Around 2am ET, the senate passed a version of a spending package that would fund the agency, minus ICE and border patrol.  The House still has to pass the senate’s version, but that’s expected later today.  This all comes after President Trump announced last night that he would pay TSA workers to stop the chaos at the airports.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
