The man accusing Tyler Perry in a $77 million dollar, Christmas Day sexual assault lawsuit feels he has some explaining to do.  In newly revealed text messages, Mario Rodriguez showers Perry with praise and affection, but also asks for money.  And, the messages were 5 years after Rodriguez claimed to have cut off communication with Perry.  Rodriguez is now defending the messages as "not inconsistent with abuse."  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

A Texas father found his 15-year-old daughter after she was kidnapped taking the family dog for a walk on Christmas, because of a tracking app on his phone. Using parental controls, he was able to find her in her kidnapper’s pickup truck in a partially wooded area and alert police. An Oklahoma man has been charged with first degree manslaughter after he shot and killed his neighbor while firing his new gun on Christmas Day.   Police say a single bullet traveled half a mile, killing an elderly woman on her porch, with a baby in her arms.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

After the Department of Justice announced they were investigating an alleged suicide letter signed by J. Epstein to  Larry Nassar,  it followed up confirming the FBI deemed the letter a  “FAKE.”  The letter, which claims “our President likes young nubile girls too”,  was one of the more incendiary files released in the DOJ Epstein file drop on Tuesday.   This latest back and forth has made the entire process even more confusing and frustrating, with the DOJ now eroding any trust in what we are reading or seeing.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

President Trump has been inserting his name on just about everything these days, so we figured we’d beat him to the punch. All jokes aside, this week President Trump announced he is naming a new fleet of battleships after himself, calling them “the largest, deadliest and most versatile best looking warships anywhere on the world’s oceans.”  This of course comes on the heels of him adding his name to the front of the Kennedy Center, renaming the U.S. Institute of Peace to the “Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace," adding his likeness to the National Park Pass, a commemorative one dollar coin and the list goes on and on. What’s next? The Department of Justice sent out a tweet before releasing more than 30,000 new documents from the Epstein files, saying some of the documents contain “untrue and sensationalist claims made against President Trump.” The documents in fact, do contain damning documents from an apparent suicide note from Epstein to Nassar along with flight logs that show Trump on Epstein’s private plane more times than previously known, apparently with alleged Epstein victims. While the President is NOT accused of doing anything criminal, it is certainly raising a number of questions. 12 time Grammy nominee, rapper Nicki Minaj sent jaws dropping after making a surprise appearance at the Turning Point USA conference over the weekend. Veteran 60 minutes correspondent Sharon Alfonsi wrote a private email to her colleagues about why she believes her segment on deplorable conditions for deported migrants was pulled at the 11th hour by new CBS Editor-In-Chief Bari Weiss. President Trump continues to leave his mark on the White House, including a controversial new installment along his Walk of Fame.  Underneath portraits of former presidents, Trump has installed permanent plaques describing each President’s legacy, according to HIM,  and written by HIM. Miss Finland 2025 has been stripped of her title after a photo was posted of her pulling her eyes and smiling with the caption “Eating with a Chinese."  But the controversy grew even bigger when several members of the Finnish Parliament recreated their own, exceptionally racist photos and posted them online in solidarity with Miss Finland. As the judge imposed the maximum sentence for Brian Walshe, she took the opportunity to let her feelings be known, saying her sentence was appropriate given his  murderous acts and the life trauma he’s caused his children. Rhode Island officials held a late day press conference as the manhunt for the Brown University shooter continued for a fifth day. Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who may have encountered the actual shooter.
