A grand estate built around a house built in 1693, and destroyed by fire in 1977 is said to be the haunt of shadowy figures belonging to those who knew the building so well in life. The stable block, added in 1811, is one of the more active areas. Why this is the case we’ll likely never know. Phantom lights float around the house, and whispering is heard deep in the woodland.
