This week Jason got to catch up with longtime friend and fellow Houndsman Garrett Fry while at the Elk Creek field trial. Some would say Garret is truly living the American dream, us included! From leading 35 horse pack trains into the most remote, rugged, and beautiful country in the US, to picking a 6 string, Garrett is carrying on in the ways of the great hunters of the past. Garrett is no stranger to hounds, curs, and terriers. In this episode he tells tales of using his Trapline Dogs, hunting coyotes for the government with use of his family’s Decoy Dogs, Grizzly Bear encounters and more. His cowboy lifestyle has led him down the path less traveled, but the stories, memories and friendships made along the way are a testament to a dying breed of man.
