Indian-American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, after dropping out of the 2024 presidential race, endorsed former President Donald Trump, receiving a warm welcome from Trump's supporters. At a rally, chants of "VP, VP" suggested Ramaswamy as a potential vice-presidential candidate. Trump praised Ramaswamy as a "fantastic guy" with a special quality. Despite past tensions and Trump's accusation of Ramaswamy using "deceitful campaign tricks," Ramaswamy strongly backed Trump, even pledging a pardon if elected. However, Trump's adviser indicated Ramaswamy as VP is unlikely.
