Chaos erupted at the Chabad-Lubavitch headquarters in NYC when NYPD tried to seal a secret tunnel found in the synagogue. The tunnel, containing items like a mattress and a highchair, led to an abandoned mikveh. Ultra-Orthodox men rioted, damaging the synagogue and attacking police. Several were arrested, and the synagogue was temporarily closed. Chabad's leadership condemned the vandalism and thanked NYPD for handling the situation.
