confess：認罪
指承認做了某件事，尤其是在法律上承認犯罪行為。
例句：He confessed to stealing the money.
他承認偷了那筆錢。
innocent：無罪的
指的是某人沒有犯罪、是清白的，經常用在法律判決中。
例句：She was found innocent after a long trial.
經過長時間的審判，她被判無罪。
convict：被定罪
作為動詞時，意思是「宣判某人有罪」；作為名詞時，指「已定罪的犯人」。
例句：He was convicted of murder in 2020.
他在 2020 年被判犯謀殺罪。
appeal：上訴
指對法院的判決不服，提出上訴，要求更高法院重新審理。
例句：The lawyer said they would appeal the decision.
律師表示他們會對這個決定提出上訴。
parole：假釋
指在服刑期間表現良好而提前釋放，通常有附帶條件。
例句：He was released on parole after serving five years.
他服刑五年後獲得假釋。
