Where do you turn when life doesn't go as expected?
Abram heard the voice of the Lord call him to leave his home in Ur and go to a land that God would show him. And in faith Abram followed the call of God to live as a stranger in the land of Canaan. But the road of faith is seldom a straight and easy path. What will this man of faith do when famine strikes the land that God promised to give to his descendants?
This week we finish reading through Genesis 12 and see how Abram goes down to Egypt along with the other Canaanites fleeing the famine. We'll study how Abram responds to his worries and fears of the Egyptian people and how we can ruin our witness to a lost world when we rely on our own understanding rather than seeking guidance from the Lord.
