We're back with a fresh Micro Queers on Australian trans teen filmmaker Alice Maio Mackay's queer slasher film, Bad Girl Boogey (2022).We would have liked more time with these characters (and maybe a longer runtime overall), as well as a stronger killer reveal, but the film's musicality, its DIY aesthetic, and the fact that Mackay has made an unapologetically queer film is worth celebrating.Questions?
