The line “Once upon a time, in a land far, far away…” brings to mind images of beautiful princesses, handsome and brave princes, wicked witches, and magical creatures. Fairy tales have been passed down for thousands of years, and still are told today. They create an escape from real life, and takes us to the land of make-believe. But Disney decided to take many of these tales, and change them for their profit. In Disney’s eyes, all princesses and princes will fall in love with each other and live happily ever after. But that is not the real story.
