This week, we heard from our new West Creek Campus pastor, Matt Hartman, for the first time. He brings a powerful and authentic word on the hope we have in Christ. He talks about how this hope can be misunderstood and mistakenly defined by our culture. This week, Pastor David talks about how the persecution of the early church caused Christians to scatter out from Jerusalem. Ultimately, this began the spread of the gospel to unreached places. Pastor Dan Yoon continues our sermon series teaching from Acts chapter 5, when the disciples of Jesus declare their position to witness to the world about all that Christ had done and is doing. This week, Pastor Kyle continues our sermon series on the book of Acts and teaches from chapter four. Pastor David kicks off a new sermon series on the book of Acts this week: Church Alive! This sermon is about the start of the early Church, some of the mistakes that the early Church made, and how the Church today echoes these with our own kinds of common mistakes. Pastor David concludes our sermon series this week and gives us perspective on the work of reconciliation that we’re called to in Christ and to the world. Pastor David kicks off our new sermon series this week: The Reconciling Heart of God. This series will navigate the many nuances of relationship with one another, with God, and with creation. This week, Pastor Pete teaches from the book of John on Peter’s interaction with Christ after his resurrection. Jesus has breakfast with the twelve disciples and he restores his relationship with Peter after Peter denied Jesus three different times while Jesus was on trial just a few days earlier. This week Pastor David teaches from the book of John on the story of the women Jesus meets and interacts with at the well. Pastor David teaches from the book of Isaiah this week. He describes the “sin cycle” that we experience in our broken world.
