Built more than 800 years ago as a fortified residence for the Catholic Church, Dragsholm castle is rumored to be the most haunted castle in all of Denmark. Legends claim more than 100 spirits linger there including many political and ecclesiastical prisoners; as well as the ghost of a woman whose remains were discovered sealed inside the castle walls.
