The ancient history of Shimonoseki, Japan is rich with legend and lore. A brutal naval battle begun the shogun era which sparked nearly 700 years of military dictatorship. The people of Japan were governed by samurai warriors and legend has it, that the spirits of some of those Samurai still haunt the shores of Shimonoseki.
