At the same time, folk music legend Pete Seeger is visiting Guthrie. After seeing Dylan perform, Seeger decides to help the budding artist by arranging gigs and introducing him to key figures like Joan Baez. During this time, Dylan finds himself attracted to Sylvie Russo, even though he has an interest in Baez. Trying to capture Bob Dylan's entire journey in one film would be quite a challenge. A Complete Unknown focuses on his early years, emphasizing a specific theme. As Dylan's popularity grows with his protest songs, Seeger sees him as the artist who can elevate folk music and reach audiences who might not pay attention otherwise.
