Live Sunday February 28, 2021 Brady Leavold is joined. by the incredible Tyler McGregor. Tyler McGregor (born March 11, 1994) the captain of the Canadian Para-hockey team. McGregor was born in London, Ontario and lists his hometown as Forest, Ontario. He had his left leg amputated due to spindle cell sarcoma. He began playing sledge hockey in 2011; previously he played able-bodied AAA hockey. McGregor won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2013 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships in Goyang, Korea, and a bronze medal at the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia. Most recently, his team won a silver meal in Pyeongchang at the 2018 Winter Paralympics. Brady is joined by former NHL prospect and OHL sniper Graeme Bonar. There was no one rock bottom for Graeme Bonar, there was a series of them. Once a highly rated prospect with the Montreal Canadiens, Bonar was a natural scorer who led the Ontario Hockey League with 66 goals for the Soo Greyhounds during the 1984-85 season. But a nasty injury derailed his chance at an NHL career before it could start. Then there was a decade of addiction to alcohol, painkillers and cocaine as he wandered from one minor pro outpost to another. After battling his own demons Bonar is now 24 years sober and helping others find their way. He currently plays under contract for the San Jose Sharks of National Hockey League (NHL). After being passed over in the NHL Entry Draft during his first two years of eligibility, Gabriel was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the 3rd round (81st overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut with the Wild on November 10, 2015, but spent most of his tenure with their AHL affiliate, the Iowa Wild. He concluded his nearly five season tenure with the team following the 2017–18 season, where he subsequently signed with the New Jersey Devils. Although Gabriel only spent one season with the Devils organization, he became the first NHL player to use Pride Tape outside of NHL designated Pride Nights. Barnaby played in the NHL for the Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins, Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Rangers, Colorado Avalanche, Chicago Blackhawks and the Dallas Stars. Barnaby is known for his affable character off-ice and is one of the league's most willing interviewees.[12] While with the Penguins, Barnaby was known for his charity work, being very fan friendly, and had a very loyal band of fans named the "Barnaby Brigade". He had a long-standing feud with Lyle Odelein, Barnaby infamously referred to his longtime rival as "Cornelius," a reference to the Roddy McDowall character in Planet of the Apes.[13] He is mostly of Anglo-Canadian origins, but speaks fluent French, having moved to the province of Quebec with his family, at a young age. He is very attached to the Québécois community and is a big Montreal Canadiens fan. Barnaby lives in Ottawa and is a hockey analyst on The Power Play on SiriusXM channel 91. Matt Kassian reigned as one of the toughest through out Brady's WHL career while playing for the Vancouver Giants and Kamloops Blazers. Kassian continued on in his role after being drafted in the second round by the Minnesota Wild in 2005, #57 overall. Playing in 76 games in the show over the course of 4 seasons for Minnesota and Ottawa respectively. Kassian was an undisputed heavy weight in the NHL and the AHL. He spent parts of 7 season in the American Hockey League, amassing 231 games. Douglas Robert Gilmour (born June 25, 1963) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played 20 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for seven different teams. Gilmour was a seventh round selection, 134th overall, of the St. Louis Blues at the 1982 NHL Entry Draft and recorded 1,414 points in 1,474 games in the NHL between 1983 and 2003. A two-time All-Star, he was a member of Calgary's 1989 Stanley Cup championship team and won the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the NHL's best defensive forward in 1992–93. Internationally, he represented Canada three times during his career and was a member of the nation's 1987 Canada Cup championship team. Gilmour was nicknamed "Killer" by a Blues teammate due to his likeness in appearance to serial killer Charles Manson (though others have attributed it to his physical style of play despite his small stature). He played three seasons of junior hockey for the Cornwall Royals where he was a member of their Memorial Cup championship team in 1981. In 1982–83, Gilmour was named the most outstanding player in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) after he scored 177 points, one of the highest totals in league history. Gilmour returned to the OHL following his playing career as he joined the Kingston Frontenacs as head coach in 2008 and was promoted to general manager in 2011. Dinger joins Brady once again!! Live Wednesday January 27th, 2021 @4PM EST Chris Dingman is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He played in the National Hockey League with the Calgary Flames, Colorado Avalanche, Carolina Hurricanes and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Dingman played junior hockey for the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League, and served as that team's captain when they won the WHL Championship during the 1995–96 season. In his best campaign (1994–95) he scored 40 goals and totalled 83 points in 66 games, while also amassing 201 minutes in penalties, making him a multiple threat. Dingman, or "Dinger" as he is known colloquially, was drafted by the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (19th overall in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft), and played his first full NHL season for the Flames in 1997–98, where he earned a reputation as a tough customer and found himself involved as a checker and a pugilist as opposed to a scoring line player. During the 1998–99 season, he was included in the Theoren Fleury trade to the Colorado Avalanche in a multiplayer swap that saw him trade places with fellow combatant and old nemesis from the WHL, Wade Belak.[1] Dingman plied his trade with the Avalanche for three seasons and won a Stanley Cup. After winning a Stanley Cup, he ended up with the Carolina Hurricanes. He was then dealt to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2002. While he saw only limited action in his first campaign there, he gradually earned more and more ice time and in 2004, Dingman won another Stanley Cup with the Lightning. He was scratched for the last two Lightning/Senators games of the 2006 Stanley Cup Playoffs after earning a seven-minute Ottawa powerplay after challenging Chris Neil, but Neil turtled when Dingman started punching him, leading to a fighting, instigator, and game misconduct penalties. Dingman never played again in the NHL. Dingman totaled 120 fights in his NHL career. His most notable was his beatdown of Bryce Salvador in November, 2000. At one point in the fight, both Dingman and Salvador had their right fists cocked, squared up, and simultaneously threw a punch. Salvador's punch missed while Dingman's punch connected with Salvador's jaw and sent Salvador's mouthpiece flying out of his mouth. Salvador crumpled to the ice, proving to be one of the most dynamic victories of Dingman's career. In November 2006 he was acquired by Södertälje SK, in Sweden. He played 2007 for AaB Ishockey of the Oddset Ligaen in Denmark. Dingman performed as a color commentator for the Tampa Bay Lightning on the Sun Sports network.[2] During the 2016 season, he wasn't expected to return in that role.

The inspiring Yanic Duplessis joins the broadcast as the youngest guest ever on Hockey 2 Hell And Back ! Live Sunday January 24, 2021 7PM EST Yanic Duplessis, a 17-year-old elite hockey player in Canada, has come out publicly as gay. “I just want to share my story, so if someone is going through the same thing I did, I want to help, even if it’s only one person that reads this,” he said in an interview with Craig Eagles of the “Out in the Open” podcast. His story is familiar to any young person dealing with their sexuality, with the added pressure of being a talented hockey player drafted by two junior leagues, stepping stones to playing higher-level hockey, including the NHL. “It was a struggle for me, and it shouldn’t be,” Duplessis said. “I felt like an outcast.” Duplessis was outed this June when a friend he confided in about being gay spread the news at a party he was not even at. He got a call from a former teammate who asked him if the rumor was true and panicked about how he would be received. He soon got his answer. “Honestly, a lot of friends and teammates have called me,” he said on the podcast. “One teammate actually came over to my house to check on me. It was the first day he found out. He came over to make sure that I knew that he accepted me and supported me. “We talked a lot and he started crying because he knew I was going through a very tough time and that I was doing it alone. ... I will never forget that.” Like a lot of teenagers coming to grips with their sexual orientation, Duplessis felt isolated, depressed, anxious and constantly afraid his secret would come out. “It eats you up inside,” he told the CBC. Duplessis’ coming out journey was aided by parents, Diane Dandurand and Andre Duplessis, who were worried when his grades suddenly dropped. “My mom would always come to pick me up from school when I wasn’t feeling well,” said Dupkessis, who lives in Saint-Antoine, New Brunswick, in Canada’s Maritime provinces. “Both my parents were starting to get really worried, especially my mom. She called the school and cried when she spoke to the principal.” “My principal spoke to me asking what was wrong, he referred me to the school’s psychologist. No one knew what was wrong with me, but they all knew something was wrong.” He finally couldn’t take it any more and came out to his parents. “My parents automatically said that they loved me no matter what and that they accepted me,” he said. The 5-10, 190-pound Duplessis still couldn’t bring himself to come out to his teammates (he was playing for a high-level midget team) despite being drafted by the two junior leagues and being a star player. “I was terrified that the wrong person would out me, especially when I wasn’t ready to say anything,” he said. “I was scared of being rejected and judged. “I was scared that my teammates would be afraid to be around me or them thinking I would go after them. They were like brothers to me and I never looked at them that way.” Part of what scared him was the culture of a hockey locker room, where he was so nervous about being found out that he avoided showering with the rest of the team. RELATED Conversation: The current state of LGBTQ acceptance and homophobia in men’s hockey “I’m not saying hockey players aren’t nice, because they are, but in the dressing room between the boys, and I certainly don’t want to offend anyone, but in the room people say some things to be cool or whatever,” he said. “They would say things about being gay or something and laugh at it. I would do the same thing, because I wanted to blend in.” Duplessis was drafted in 2019 by the Drummondville Voltigeurs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, which counts among its alumi such NHL stars as Mario Lemieux, Guy Lafleur, Ray Bourque, Pat LaFontaine, Mike Bossy, Denis Savard, Michel Goulet, Luc Robitaille and Patrick Roy. For now, though, he wants to play close to home this fall for his high school team before starting his junior hockey career. He wants time to process all he’s been through before jumping up a level in the sport he has been passionate about since he was a young boy. Asked for what advice he would give a future teammate about how to act in the locker room around someone who is gay, Duplessis was direct. “Be careful what you say, watch what you say in the room. After being named the WHL rookie of the year in 2004, Brulé was selected as the WHL playoff MVP and led the Memorial Cup in scoring, as part of the Giants' WHL championship-winning season two years later. Selected sixth overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, he began his NHL career with the Columbus Blue Jackets before being traded to the Edmonton Oilers prior to the 2008–09 season. After three seasons with the Oilers, he was placed on waivers, then acquired by the Coyotes for the 2011–12 season and playoffs. He then joined the ZSC Lions for the 2012–13 season. Brulé was released by the Zurich-based team in October 2012. Internationally, Brulé has represented Team Canada at the 2004 World U-17 Hockey Challenge and 2004 U-18 Junior World Cup, winning silver and gold medals, respectively. Brulé was selected first overall in the 2002 WHL Bantam Draft by the Vancouver Giants. The selection was originally possessed by the Prince Albert Raiders, but was dealt to the Giants in exchange for their third overall and third round selections.[3] He debuted in one game with the Giants during the subsequent WHL season, while playing Junior A[notes 1] in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) with the Quesnel Millionaires. Recording 57 points (32 goals and 25 assists) over 48 games in his lone BCHL season, he was named the Interior Conference's recipient of the Bruce Allison Memorial Trophy as rookie of the year.[4] In 2003–04, Brulé joined the Giants and tallied 60 points in 67 games. He became the first Giants player to win a major WHL award,[5] receiving the Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy as league rookie of the year.[6] The distinction made him a nominee for Canadian Hockey League (CHL) Rookie of the Year,[7] which went to Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) rookie of the year Sidney Crosby of the Rimouski Océanic.[8] He joined Crosby on the CHL All-Rookie Team. The following season, Brulé finished third in WHL scoring with 87 points (39 goals and 48 assists), establishing a Giants single-season point-scoring record (surpassed by Casey Pierro-Zabotel in 2008–09). During the campaign, he was chosen to a squad of WHL All-Stars against the Russian select team in the 2004 ADT Canada-Russia Challenge in November. Several months later, he competed in the 2005 CHL Top Prospects Game, where he recorded the first hat trick in the history of the all-star match and was named Team Cherry's player of the game. At the end of the season, Brulé was named the CHL Scholastic Player of the Year, having taken more high school credits than any other WHL player. Brulé was born in Edmonton, Alberta, later moving to North Vancouver, British Columbia, during his childhood. He had a sister named Leah who died at the age of 12 as a result of complications from cerebral palsy. Brulé was nine years old at the time of his sister's death and later had her name tattooed on his left wrist. Despite growing up in both Edmonton and Vancouver, Brulé was a childhood fan of the Los Angeles Kings. In May 2010, Brulé donated $10,000 to a fund assisting an Edmonton boy suffering from lymphatic cystic hydroma. The money was allocated to a costly surgery to be performed in New York, which doctors in Canada were unable to perform. Brulé received further media attention a year later for picking up a pair of hitchhikers who turned out to be Irish rock band U2 frontman Bono and his assistant in a West Vancouver neighbourhood on May 31, 2011. In return, Brulé was given backstage passes for him and his mother, for U2's concert in Edmonton on the next day. During the show, Bono thanked Brulé for the ride. He played in the National Hockey League with the Calgary Flames, Colorado Avalanche, Carolina Hurricanes and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Dingman played junior hockey for the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League, and served as that team's captain when they won the WHL Championship during the 1995–96 season. In his best campaign (1994–95) he scored 40 goals and totalled 83 points in 66 games, while also amassing 201 minutes in penalties, making him a multiple threat. Dingman, or "Dinger" as he is known colloquially, was drafted by the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (19th overall in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft), and played his first full NHL season for the Flames in 1997–98, where he earned a reputation as a tough customer and found himself involved as a checker and a pugilist as opposed to a scoring line player. During the 1998–99 season, he was included in the Theoren Fleury trade to the Colorado Avalanche in a multiplayer swap that saw him trade places with fellow combatant and old nemesis from the WHL, Wade Belak.[1] Dingman plied his trade with the Avalanche for three seasons and won a Stanley Cup. After winning a Stanley Cup, he ended up with the Carolina Hurricanes. He was then dealt to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2002. While he saw only limited action in his first campaign there, he gradually earned more and more ice time and in 2004, Dingman won another Stanley Cup with the Lightning. He was scratched for the last two Lightning/Senators games of the 2006 Stanley Cup Playoffs after earning a seven-minute Ottawa powerplay after challenging Chris Neil, but Neil turtled when Dingman started punching him, leading to a fighting, instigator, and game misconduct penalties. Dingman never played again in the NHL. Dingman totaled 120 fights in his NHL career. His most notable was his beatdown of Bryce Salvador in November, 2000. At one point in the fight, both Dingman and Salvador had their right fists cocked, squared up, and simultaneously threw a punch. Salvador's punch missed while Dingman's punch connected with Salvador's jaw and sent Salvador's mouthpiece flying out of his mouth. Salvador crumpled to the ice, proving to be one of the most dynamic victories of Dingman's career. In November 2006 he was acquired by Södertälje SK, in Sweden. He played 2007 for AaB Ishockey of the Oddset Ligaen in Denmark. Lukacevic not only inspired Leavold but several others from PoCo to elevate their own games and chase after their own dreams. Leavold and Lukacevic reconnected when he was traded to the Swift Current Broncos in 2005-2006 before Leavold quit the team due to mental health issues. Ned and Brady were extremely close off the ice too and got into some trouble including fire works in the dressing room, problems with the hotel sauna at a Peewee tournament among many others. Brady is joined by retired NHL D man Kyle Quincey. Quincey is originally from Kitchener Ontario and broke into the OHL with the storied London Knights. Quincey was drafted in the 4th round by the Detroit Red Wings in 2003 before being traded to the Mississauga Ice Dogs. He rounded out his OHL career in 2005 and moved on to the AHL with the Grand Rapid Griffins. He spent parts of 3 season in the "A" before becoming a full time NHLer. Quincey played over 500 games in the show before moving onto Helsinki Finland for one season. Following his season over seas Quincey hung up the skates. Recently, he was featured on TSN's "The Problem With Pain" special that detailed some disturbing news. Kyle and several others reported the high spread use and abuse of the pain killer Toradol. With misinformation he was one the many who is now living with consequences of over using a pain killer they were told was safe. Kyles son Axel has fought off brain cancer.
