January 11th is the annual celebration day for the first female saint of Canada and founder of the Congregation de Notre-Dame—Marguerite Bourgeoys. This date commemorates her death in Montreal (Quebec, Canada) in  1700, marking a day for remembrance of her missionary work, teaching, and dedication to families in New France.
