Advent is, at its core, a season of waiting. And waiting often reveals what we truly believe about God. Joy in Advent is not passive; it is a choice to trust that God is at work even when we cannot see it. Our joy is built upon a confident hope that God will continue to be faithful to all the promises made to us.

- Who or what are the people, places, and practices that help you to experience joy in difficult times?

- What are you waiting on God for right now? What are the promises that form the foundation of your "confident hope"?

- How can you practice joy — real, rooted joy — while you wait?
