If you were to have a supernatural encounter with God, where do you imagine it might happen? Probably not at a campfire cook-out on the beach! Jesus uses this moment to continue the process of restoring and strengthening Peter and the rest of the disciples. Peter imagines that his failure is the end of the story for him but Jesus continues to show him that his failure, and ours, is only part of the picture!

For Reflection:
The disciples arrive on the beach to find that Jesus has cooked breakfast for them.
- Can you recall a time when God "showed up" for you in a mundane, everyday moment like breakfast on a beach with friends?
- What might help you to keep your eyes open for God's presence in such moments?
- Jesus uses this moment to acknowledge Peter's failure without making too much of it. What helps you to keep your spiritual failures in perspective?
