Show Notes
This week’s podcast is a little different than usual. Co-host Chip Wilson teaches many classes and workshops around the country, so we decided to record it and share it here.Chip talks about the difference between training and development, and why companies need to first get clear on their strategy before developing their people.Training and development are both tools in the toolbox of success, however, they have differences that need to be clarified.Training, typically, is teaching of actual skills or knowledge while development is a long-term improvement plan for your employees in order to transform their current abilities into something greater in the future.
