Tan France says people think he was "plucked out of nowhere and they're right." Despite being best known for his role on Queer Eye as a fashion designer and entrepreneur, he had never aspired to be a television personality. Our conversation centered around his upbringing as a South Asian in the UK, his identity as a Pakistani, and his experiences as a brown and queer individual who has often felt like an outsider.
