In today’s story, I am repeating these words and expressions and associating them with a sound so you can remember them easily:
- Fermé (fair may): Closed (for signs on shops)
- Ouvert (oo vehr): Open (for signs on shops)
- Entrée (awn tray): Entrance
- Sortie (sor tee): Exit
- Passage piéton (pah sahj pee ay tohn): Pedestrian crossing
- Arrêt (ah reh): Stop (for signs or public transportation)
- Tout droit (too drwa) : Straight ahead
- À gauche (ah gosh): To the left
- À droite (ah drwat): To the right
- C'est cher (seh shair): It's expensive
- Est-ce que je peux payer par carte ? (ehs kah juh puh pay par cart): Can I pay by card?
- Combien de temps ça prend? (Combien duh tahn sah pran?): How long does it takes?
