The final Consumer Price Index report of 2025 showed that inflation remains stubborn. Prices rose 2.7% in December compared to a year ago. NBC News Senior National Politics Reporter Jon Allen joins from Michigan, where President Trump spoke on his administration’s plan for the economy. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court heard arguments on whether states can ban transgender women from competing on female sports teams. Sruti Swaminathan, a senior staff attorney with the ACLU, joins to talk about their work with the plaintiffs in the cases.
