Welcome to chapter one of the Botanical Green Book, an ongoing series hosted by botanist Derek Haynes. In this episode, he interviews Delphine Sellars, the executive director of Urban Community AgriNomics, also known as UCAN.
We'll learn about how Delphine came to work with plants, what UCAN is all about, and we'll even get to take a tour of the grounds with them.
Prior to receiving its nonprofit status in 2016, UCAN worked in the community with and for other nonprofits to reduce food insecurity, prevent and reverse health issues, augment the academic success of children and create healthy families.
