The New Period Chat Radio presents: The Case Of. Claudia Patricia Gómez González (9 February 1998 – 23 May 2018) was a Guatemalan woman shot by a US Border Patrol agent on 23 May 2018 after crossing the US-Mexican border near Rio Bravo, Texas. The case is wrought by controversy and outcries of abuse of force by border patrol CBP agents. Also, there are confusing and contradicting statements, witness accounts, and charges of a cover up. No weapon was reportedly seen or found in the possession of the victim, Claudia. And, many possible witnesses in the case have been deported and denied a chance to testify. With the available evidence I believe the CBP has purposefully derailed the investigation, and denied justice to the victim, immigrants, and her family.
